Evil Eye Gold Pendant
According to Greek, Cypriot and Middle Eastern tradition, wearing an evil eye charm will protect you against the curse of the eye or, in Greek, mati. The curse is said to stem from the emotions of others such as envy, anger and, as some believe, through positive emotions such as admiration. It is said to cause harm or bad luck to the person who receives such a curse. Be safe and wear this around or neck or gift to a person with a streak of bad luck.

Care
SISTER jewellery is made of 24k Gold-plated 925 Sterling Silver. Gold plating naturally wears off over time, revealing the silver beneath. Avoid contact with fragrances, lotions, rough surfaces and cleaning agents, especially chlorine as it can permanently damage or discolour your jewellery. Make sure your skin is dry before putting on your jewellery. Always remove your gold plated jewellery in the shower, when swimming or exercising and store it in a dry and air-tight place. Clean it gently with a soft cloth only and avoid rubbing. Unlike mass produced jewellery, handmade pieces will almost always have imperfections and each piece will never be identical to another. This uniqueness is part of the beauty of handmade jewellery.
Meet the makers
Sister jewellery is handcrafted by two brothers, George and Panagiotis, in the picturesque village of Lefkara, in a workshop they have been running since 1968. George is a master of repoussage and in making the traditional silver 'kapnistri' using at weddings. When they are not producing jewellery, they love to pick olives in their grounds.
Sister jewellery draws inspiration from traditional Cypriot mythological and Christian images, statues and stories. Our Jewellery is made of 925 Sterling Silver and is made using lost wax casting.
